Working with Arundel –
International Tax Consultants
Managing your life under one complex tax regime can be hard. Managing under two complex, and sometimes contradictory, tax regimes is not for the faint hearted. However, if you want to take advantage of the business, employment, cultural, and family opportunities from dividing your life between the US and the UK it is a challenge that you will need to face. Arundel Consulting has been established to ease this burden.
We operate with four distinctive approaches:
The best way to manage your affairs is to identify potential problems in advance, when you have choices available. It is often too late to avoid problems if your choices are not evaluated until tax returns are due to be filed. The Arundel method is to look ahead and identify issues while options are available.
We know that you can’t run your life making decisions with tax minimisation as your only goal. When the way you want to live has potentially negative tax consequences, we work with you to evaluate the alternatives and the trade-offs so that you can make the best choice for you
Managing your taxes is unlikely to be your idea of fun. By putting both US and UK taxes into one integrated process we minimise the amount of duplicate effort required from you. We use the latest technology so that you can work with us whenever and wherever suits you best.
As people with international work and play you are geographically mobile and may find getting to the offices of tax advisers in more than one country unnecessarily burdensome. We therefore use technology to be available wherever you are, and whenever you want to interact. We provide a comprehensive document management system accessible from anywhere with an internet connection, and we will consult with you over a video call system whenever possible to save you visiting our office.

Robert Davidson has a broad and deep experience of international business and living.
After getting a degree in Economics from The City University London he qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in the UK and worked with them as a senior manager in their European practice based in The Hague. He then worked for Eli Lilly in internal audit, international business planning, and in systems development.
He was a founder and Finance Director in a UK based sales and management software business that grew rapidly, mainly in the USA, and then for another software business building global business planning systems.
At the end of 2009 he moved to New York and qualified as an Enrolled Agent, providing tax services to individuals and developing businesses. The work became increasingly focused on expatriates living in the US, companies with both US and UK operations, and US citizens living in the UK. In 2017 he also became a member of the Association of Tax Technicians in the UK, becoming one of the few people qualified to provide services in both countries.
His extensive experience of international business, and of living in both countries, enables a deeper understanding of your situation and an approach to your issues grounded in more than just tax law.
